Whether you enjoy walking downtown on a foggy day or jogging in the rain, a raincoat for your dog can be a functional and trendy fashion essential.

Functional and Fashionable However, for customers who want functional items that fit well and adhere to the latest trends in design and fabrics, the market caters to them too. “It’s very possible to meet all these demands”, said Tara Brown, owner and designer for Poochie Kingdom, a Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based company that specializes in handmade raincoats for dogs of all sizes. Bright colors, such as red and yellow, as well as metallics and even black, are popular choices for rainwear. It’s one type of clothing that allows pet owners to have some fun-and brighten up rainy days. “But apart from the water-proofing aspect, raincoats are also an excellent choice of fur protection for dogs that suffer from airborne allergies and toxins in the air”, Brown added.
